Ronan Lundy and Paul Moore cook up a recipe of mayhem for Easter!

Listen - Eavesdrop on this Your Place & Mine cookery masterclass.

Step One - do as little as possible

Paula's doing her best to explain the finer detail. The boys don't seem to be paying much attention though!
Are you two paying attention?

Get your 'helpers' to do something useful. A small task would probably be best, one that will allow the students to learn a new skill.

That's the theory anyway, but as Paula works hard creating a raspberry tart our 2 trainee chefs don't seem to be concentrating just as hard as they might. I hope they remember all Paula has told them when it comes to their turn to have a go.

Some things don't change - still 2 little boys skulking at the back of the class!

At last Ronan seems to be doing some work!

Step Two - making a mess

Measuring, mixing, beating, boiling, grating, greasing - Paula whizzes her way through the recipe as if by magic, making it all look so easy. Her hardest task is keeping Ronan's fingers away from the mixing bowl - she daren't turn her back for a minute.

Finally Ronan and Paul's avoidance tactics fail and our intrepid assistants are persuaded to have a go themselves. Ronan is the first to try out piping meringue on top of the raspberry tarts.

Step Three - testing is essential!
