Brian's Newcastle and Kilkeel sketchbook (p.2)

Interior of log cabin

Log Cabin Tollymore Forest

OK you your place and miners - anyone been to Tollymore Forest Park lately ? Are there still log cabins there? This pen and ink was done in 1964 and drawn because I was fascinated by the amount of effort someone had put into making the interior of this hut so beautiful. All done with different sizes of logs.

We'd explored the river, the hermitage, the bridge, and looked for foxes (never saw any) then it was a picnic beside this mill whilst the children tried ricking their ankles by clambering about the logs.
