I would like to find a list of people that built this
great ship.

Dear Davey, The first verse of your poem "Ode to
the Titan" is straight out plagerised from a very
old children's poem by Charles Dickens. My mother who
was born in 1906, learnt it from the "The Children's
Reader" when she was about 6 years old, subsequently
teaching it to both of her children. I don't mind if
you have to plagerise, but PLEASE give due reference
to the original author!!!! The orginal poem goes thus:
"Somebody said it couldn't be done, but he, with
a chuckle replied, Maybe it couldn't, but he'd be one,
who would't say so until he tried, So, he took off his
coat, and with a trace of a grin, he started to sing
As he tackled the thing that couldn't be done, and he
did it. "

I have been living in Sydney, Australia for the
past 35yrs and was delighted to come across your site.
It
has brought back many happy memories of my father Samuel
McDonald who was a driller in Harland & Wolff. I remember
my Mother telling me that he worked on the Titanic
while serving his apprenticeship.
I have his indenture certificate dated 30th September 1907, It cost two pounds
sterling and came complete wih a one penny stamp.
Regards Jean Crawford nee McDonald.
