Roses

This journey into the radio archives comes up smelling of roses!

Love is in the air around St Valentine's Day on 14th February each year. Millions of red roses are delivered to sweethearts young and old - showing that, even in the technological 21st century, romance is certainly not dead.

With this in mind, it seems appropriate to feature a programme on the Northern Ireland tradition of growing this 'Queen of flowers'. Presented by Gary Bones and Sheila St Clair, "Everything's Coming Up Roses" was broadcast on BBC Radio Ulster in September 1986.
