Please could anyone provide information on a fatality that occured sometime between 1957/61 during the Northwest 200. The rider's name was Wesley Eliot/Eliott. He was from MONEA Co. Fermanagh. Any information will be greatfully accepted. Many thanks

I would just like to say that michael rutter is some pilot. doing 201 mph down through the speed trap last year, but i wish joey was still here to be up there battling it out with them. i have a joey dunlop replica 250 2000 midi moto. there was special permission by roby payne to get it done in his colours.

JOEY WILL ALWAYS BE KING OF THE ROADS..

Hi, I'm looking for pictures of Joey Dunlop in the north west 200 in the year 2000. When he was riding on the daemon vento coloured honda sp1. If anybody can help me I would be grateful.

Aaron and Rob both mailed to ask about the significance of the '200' of the NW200

The 200 refers to the original overall distance covered by the racers. 18 laps of a little over 11 miles added up to make the 200 mile circuit.

Can u not do away with the magabouy chicane as it only causes accidents and move it to before mathers cross as it is dangerous . Nobody likes the chicane at magabouy.

I have had the priviledge of marshalling the nw200 in the past but now I live in Scotland and unable to go. University corner is the place to be as the bunch all scramble to get into position for the corner and a decent line for the hill. I remember the time we picked Carl Fogerty up off the road when he came off, he was absolutely gutted to come off as well, I believe he was either leading or close to it. The favourite rider was of course Joey, as smooth as liquid mercury on the machine and a very humble man, r.i.p.
Some of the greats I have met Tom Heron, Mick Grant, John Newbold (the day he died) and Dave Leech. As for keeping the nw200 of course there may be deaths or accidents but every one of the people there, know the risks and as such the racing should be continued. I can't remember much call for f1 to be banned after A. Senna was killed, so why nw200. Heres to another 75 years of hard clean racing.
