Recommissioning the equality agenda.

The record so far in the fair employment field has been of steady progress towards a fairer society for Northern Ireland, and the prospects for the future will be greatly increased if they can be viewed in the context of economic expansion and political stability.

The development of new structures and the extended reach of anti-discrimination legislation have given the equality agenda a unique and challenging priority within Northern Ireland society.
