Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth
For the final show in this series John Bennett meets up Dame Cleo Laine and Sir John Dankworth in their home at the Old Rectory in Wavendon where they not only live, but built an arts centre, the Stables. As they both turned 80 this year they reflect on what was once described as a 'marriage of musical brilliance'. And they tell John some star-studded tales like John playing on the Queen Mary with Ronnie Scott and meeting Dizzy Gillespie in New York. And Ella Fitzgerald once telling Cleo that she had 'nice legs'.
