Chris McGimpsey Long Play Interview
Chris McGimpsey is an Ulster Unionist and keen student of Irish history. He paints a vivid picture of how the Protestant community regarded the Hunger Strike of 1981 and how Unionists looked to the British Government not to bow to the prisoners demands. He recalls in particular how his community reacted when they witnessed tens of thousands of people walking behind the coffin of the first hunger striker to die, Bobby Sands, MP.
