HELL FREEZES OVER

Mick Jagger by David BaileyTá The Police ar ais ar an ród agus beidh siad ag seinm in Éirinn san Fhómhar. Níl iontu ach ceann amháin eile de rac-ghrúpaí na 80í, na 70í, agus fiú féin na 60í, atá tagtha le chéile arís le dul i mbun camchuairte. Cad faoin Who agus na Rolling Stones? Seanleaids a bhfuil a ré thart le fada? Nó laochra nach féidir iad a cháineadh? Déanann Jim Lockhart, duine de cheoltóirí Horslips, an scéal a phlé le hEoghan Ó Néill.

The Police are just the latest in a long line of rock bands who have embarked on reunion tours in recent times. Fellow senior citizens The Who and The Rolling Stones are also re-living their glory days. Old fogeys whose best days are well behind them? Or rock legends who even in their sixties can outperform today's young pretenders? Jim Lockhart, of our own rock legends Horslips, debates the issue with Eoghan Ó Néill.
