CLANNAD AT CELTIC CONNECTIONS
Mar
chuid Celtic Connections 2007, tháinig baill den ghrúpa
Clannad le chéile le haghaidh ceolchoirme don chéad uair
le deich mbliana anuas. Sula ndeachaigh siad ar Ardán Cheoláras
Ríoga Ghlaschú, mhínigh príomhamhránaí
Moya Brennan do Lynette Fay cad é a thug le chéile arís
iad. Labhraíonn sí chomh maith ar oidhreacht cheoil an bhanna,
ar shaibhreas na n-amhrán Gaeilge, chomh maith leis an tionchar
a d'imir grúpaí áirithe ceoil ar fhuaim Clannad…
agus faoi dheireadh, míníonn sí focail an amhráin
is clúití a bhí ag Clannad riamh, Harry's Game.
As part of the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow recently, Clannad
played their first full concert together in ten years. Before the band
take to the stage at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Lynette Fay catches
up with Moya Brennan who tells us how this concert came about. Máire
also talks about the band's musical heritage, the beauty of the Irish
songs they grew up with and how this main influence fused with many others,
from showband music to instrumental jazz … and finally, she tells
us what she is really singing in the Clannad hit "Harry's Game"!
