The £65m glass-fronted building both overlooks,
and - at night - reflects the 15th century church of St Peter Mancroft.
The Millennium Library at The Forum is designed
to be a gateway to Norfolk and Norwich and a hub for learning in
the city. The central library which stood
on this site was destroyed by fire in 1994.
In addition to the library, the ultra-modern building
also houses the Origins visitor centre, open learning facilities
and a restauraunt. In 2003 The Forum also
became host to the BBC's headquarters in the eastern counties, bringing
television, radio and online operations together.
Visitors to The Forum can see the teams who produce
News Online, the Where I Live website for Norfolk, BBC Radio Norfolk
and Look East through the huge glass windows which overlook the
atrium area.
Don't miss the 360°
view of Radio Norfolk's studio at The Forum, a
live webcam shot from
the roof of the atrium or a tour
of the BBC's Norwich base.
