Noted for their self-sufficient work ethic, pop-rockers The Mars Patrol could just be the hardest working men and women on the T in The Park lineup. With followings ranging from Japan to Canada, they are one of few self-funded groups to successfully tour the USA. The Scots-born, London-based act have also strutted their stuff on the same stages as KT Tunstall, The Feeling, Orson, Kula Shaker, The Rifes and Finley Quaye.
The overriding themes in their music - positivity, solace, understanding - sees the band make light of the darkest situations, and lead singer Davina Divine says “our music is designed to inspire, help you escape and confront your fears". Sounds like its worth making a trip to the BBC Introducing stage then.
