For someone who's only 17, DJ Thrilla aka Danny Edwards from Rochdale enjoys a reputation as "that Manchester boy" with some of the biggest names on the Drum 'n' Bass scene.

Thrilla's only been DJing for the past 3 years after a brief sidestep into MC'ing taught him that his real passion was playing vinyl. He says that his mission is to bring all his musical influences into his set and give something new to the urban scene.

He's recently been to the third Highly Blessed MC Convention in London to meet Shabba D's manager Paul Ibiza and spent the night on stage watching and learning from some of the Uk's leading D'n'B stars.

He's also just done his first demo for Highly Blessed and is waiting to hear what they thought.
"I was really pleased that all the tunes on my demo were played at the Convention - if nothing comes of the demo this time at least people will know who I am...two or three crews asked me if I'd be interested in working with them and a guy from Cool FM asked me if I wanted to do something on one of their shows...it was great being at a place like the MC Convention...it confirmed for me what I really want to do."
