"On
hearing about the terrible disaster in South-East Asia,
the children of St Veronica's School have been busy
offering help.
The school heard about the aquabox scheme from Radio
Lancashire and managed to obtain sponsors to purchase
seven boxes. Sponsors included the local golf club,
supper club, parents and friends of the school.
Children, parents and staff then worked hard to fill
the seven boxes with suggested 'essential items'. These
included items such as: soap, toothpaste, a bucket,
a spade, baby clothes, cups, cutlery, nails, screws.
The children at St Veronica's are delighted to think
that their items are now being used by people hit by
the terrible disaster."
