This
beach gets the sun all day, but is a bit exposed - perhaps why it
is not as popular as it could be.

MARE
parking:
There
is a large car park at the eastern end of this stretch of beach, but
you do have to pay to park there. At weekends it fills up quite rapidly.
refreshments:
There
is a beach kiosk at one end, and cafes at the other, but nothing in
between.
toilets:
In
several locations along the length of the beach.
swimming:
Safe
at high tide, but the sea does recede a long way at low tide. If you
follow it out, make sure it doesn't beat you back.
sunshine:
South
facing, so catches the sun all day.
shelter:
A
bit exposed to westerly and easterly winds.
sand:
Soft
and golden above the high tide mark, but lower down it is wet with
patches of shingle.

Nina Good sand and so much space. Even if there's a bit of breeze it's warm and sheltered under the sea wall. Half an hour's walk if you want to swim when the tide's out, but a whole new lunar world on the way - listen to the seaweed drying in the sun! Wish I could be on that beach more often.
