From then on he will specialise to become a good
bowman/rigger for the Jersey Clipper for the rest of the year!
Unfortunately, Frank will have to be back in Belgium
by 1 September 2003, so he will have to stop in Brazil or New York
(or win the lottery...)
His
sailing experience includes some dinghy sailing, week-end sailing
trips on the North Sea (and yes sometimes went sick of it !), a
beautiful sailing week in Greece (no racing but lots of fun and
Ouzo in the sun!) and once an Atlantic crossing.
This
crossing gave him the desire to enrol in the Clipper Round The World
Yacht Race.
Frank
has always been very interested in travelling and visting various
parts of the world. "To combine travelling around the world
and sailing looked to me the ultimate thing to do.
So
here I am !" said Frank. "At the moment my knowledge of
Jersey is not very impressive. But I received already a touristic
brochure and I hope to visit the island around the 16th of August
2002."
