In the 14th century babies in Herefordshire were baptised in
cider, on the grounds that it was cleaner than water. Many people
now use the same argument to justify their weekend drinking
habits. |

Perdiswell Airfield in Worcester was the first municipally owned
airport in the world. In WWII it became the headquarters of
81 Group Fighter Command. The Royal flight was also stationed
there. |
