Buy Nothing Day
'Buy Nothing Day' By Tina Smale

Tina hopes to raise awareness in her work, and to inform people of the issues raised by society both economically and socially today.

Her main area of interest lies with the globalization process and the effects of it upon us and future generations to come. This comes across in her work.

What are you working at the moment?
"I am not working on a project at the moment, as I have decided to leave the area and am in the process of applying for an MA. I feel like I would like to intensify my work on political illustration and that an MA is the best way to go."

Do you feel there is enough support for local artists?
"I find that the opportunities for my particular type of work are limited In Herefordshire. This is unfortunate, but if I want to further my career I will have to go to a larger city. This is a pity as it is a beautiful county and I will miss it very much."

The LAMP exhibition is running at The Courtyard, Hereford until Saturday 6th April.
