The plans look great. I wish we were fortunate enough to have them as an option in Upton instead of the very expensive and risky temporary barriers.

Its interesting to hear that a lot of people who are against this,do not live anywhere near this area, and so are not affected when the area floods.having lived in the hinton road area for 30+ years, get on and build it,we need it.

What a waste of time and money, the beauty of the river brings people into this city, building a wall will just hide it, it also gives the graffiti artists another blank convas to use. Any flood barriers just pushes the problem further down river, are they planning to build a wall all the wat to Ross????

The city centre - flooded! I was born in Hereford and I've never known the City Centre to be flooded. These plans are ludicrous and will spoil the area. Incidentally, if these plans are implemented, where will the flood water go? After all, water finds its own level and someone, somewhere will be flooded out, probably someone who has never been flooded before!

i assume its proposed to erect the red brick wall seen of one of the above pictures......did u label the pics correctly?
if so i think the red brick wall looks fine..well designed...i can't see any concrete wall as someone mentioned.
concrete on its own wouldn't be ok.
for ease of considering it a scale model may have been a good idea.
i can't see what the fuss is about...that red brick wall is great....some places in this country would love it.
i think it is good enough for the historic city of hereford.
i think the p[lanners did a good job with negotiating it with the envir agency.
i think no more fuss should be made let the agency get on with building it..+stop the dreadful flooding.
