The mock Castle at Eastnor was built in 1810 - it was designed by Robert Smirke to look like a medieval fortress guarding the Welsh Borders.

The castle took a workforce of 250 six years to build, and cost almost £90,000 (about £8.5m in today's money.)

The estate includes a large deer park that hosts the annual Big Chill Festival.

The Castle is 2½ miles east of Ledbury on the A438 Tewkesbury road.
