Resources you can access
- Our Resolution First approach is all about having open, early conversations to work through disagreements or tensions before they escalate. You can access guidance on how to approach that conversation.
- If you'd like some hints on language to use when you're giving feedback or raising a concern, please use our Call It Out guide.
- There are also resources available from external organisations, including the Film & TV Charity, ScreenSkills, and Acas.
People you can speak to
-
If you need some help to raise a concern in the right way, or if you want to talk through something that’s bothering you, please speak to your BBC contact in the first instance. This may be the booker who created the booking or the person responsible for deciding the work you have been engaged to carry out (e.g. a production manager or programme editor). Please note: If you’re booked for BBC Radio, BBC Sounds, BBC Sport, Children’s or TV Commissioning, iPlayer and Planning, your BBC contact is the person responsible for deciding the work you have been engaged to carry out.
-
If you’d like to speak to someone else, you can speak to a nominated point of contact for your business area who will help you to identify the next steps to resolve your concern. To find out who the point of contact is, please ask your booker, BBC contact, or the Extended Workforce Team.
- You can also contact the Respect at Work helpline if you’d like confidential advice on how to go about raising a concern.
If your concern feels more serious, and might be categorised as harmful behaviour or involve fraudulent activity, you can use this form to raise a complaint. To make sure any issues can be handled appropriately, please only use this form if what you’re reporting meets the CIISA definitions of harmful behaviour.
What happens next?
After you submit the form, you’ll receive a case reference number and an acknowledgement email from our team within one working day.
