Springwatch Dirty Weekend pictures

BBC Essex have been out and about for the Springwatch Dirty Weekend along with many of you!

Pupils from St Pius X School in Chelmsford spent a morning bulb planting on our Springwatch garden.

Since opening its doors in Nov 2006 hundreds of birds and insects made their homes on the reserve.

Volunteers helped to transform a patch of land Chelmsford into a haven for wildlife and people.

Now is the time to see the snowdrops at their best. We've been to Easton Lodge to admire them.

There are only a few ancient landscapes left in London and the RSPB reserve is one of them.
