Bosses at Carey’s in Coventry have cooked up another comedy treat this month with a mouth-watering line-up of talent at Stand-Up Wednesday on 17 January. On the bill are Anvil Springstien, Alex Horne, Gary Delaney and Ben Hurley.
 | | (l-r) Delaney, Horne, Hurley |
Springstien is a sprightly old soul with a reputation for rather manic antics but his energies are also used to good effect with a gift for great storytelling. Perrier Award Breakthrough Nominee Horne has established himself with critics, comics and audiences alike since hitting Edinburgh three-and-a-half years ago. If you love one-liners then Delaney could be your man who’s fast becoming the most quoted comic on the circuit. Hurley won New Zealand’s Billy T award (a prestigious comedy award apparently) and is down right stupid, dirty and irreverent.
