ZAPCHAT: #PersonalBest

Beating my personal best in the broom race as well as Ethel to get the title of Head Girl? No pressure.

A young witch (Mildred) in Cackle's Academy gym kit lies her head down on her crossed arms.
Figure caption,

Every witch that has become Head Girl in fourth year has won the broom race. I’ve got some serious catching up to do! To win this one I need to beat my record from last year. Let’s do this!

Figure caption,

Determination and perseverance are key. Enid and Maud want to hang out but I have homework to do after training. I’ll pass. No time to waste!

Figure caption,

I’m soooo sleepy. Really gutted I can’t hang with Maud. My homework is due tomorrow and I have to get up at dawn to train!!

Figure caption,

Three places at once I have to be, help make two perfect versions of me! 3 MILLIES! Now I can hang out with my friends, train and study all at once. Yay!!

Figure caption,

Personal Best turned into Personal Beast. I’ve got to make it up to Maud.

Figure caption,

I overslept! I was too late to compete in the race. I might not be racing on the broom, but it’s still a race for Head Girl. Bring it on!

Zapchat replies: ShiningStar - My greatest achievement is when I was playing benchball , and was the last person, I had to keep running up and down, but then I finally did it! Mildred Hubble: Well met, ShiningStar. Sounds like you’re a ball of energy! I think you’d get on well with Enid, she just loves to run. I’m not as fast as her, but I like to do my best. Even though I missed out on the prize this time round, I’ll make it count next time.
Zapchat replies: Emmi: Well met Mildred! This is sort of embarassing, but I have a HUGE fear of dogs. Even the small cute ones! No offence to Star of course. So my greatest achievement is when I walked through a path full of dog walkers... thank you for reading! Mildred Hubble: Well met, Emmi. Overcoming your fear of dogs is definitely something you should be proud of! Don’t worry, Star doesn’t mind. In fact, I’m sure he’ll be very excited for you; dogs can be brilliant friends. Well done for trying something new and facing your fears.
Zapchat replies: cutekitten20: Well met Mildred! I’m the worst in my school at sports, but I’m sure it would be really cool riding on a broomstick! Despite this, I have many talents like writing, rapping and playing piano! I have my piano exam on Saturday, my class love my raps and I have lots of poems and a short story published! Mildred Hubble: Well met, cutekitten20. You shouldn’t be disheartened if you find you’re not good at something. Everyone has their own strengths - it sounds like you have lots of skills. Good luck for your piano exam, you’ve got this!
Zapchat replies: MintSmilingBadger - Well met Mildred (Millie), my greatest achievement is raising over £500 👍 for charity. I love doing things for others. Have you ever done anything for charity? Mildred Hubble: Well met MintSmilingBadger, I don’t mind if you call me Mildred, but you’re welcome to call me Millie - all my friends do! You must have absolutely worked your boots off to get that total. You’re making a real difference; you should be proud of what you’ve achieved!
Zapchat replies: rainbowkittyqueen - My personal best was probably when I got a main part in my schools play! I had 100 lines!! Or maybe when I got a solos at my musical theatre club! I don’t do it any more though which is a bit sad! I can’t decide which one is better but I ann man proud of both achievements! Good luck on getting head girl! Mildred Hubble: Well met rainbowkittyqueen. Both of those achievements are amazing. Getting up on stage is always scary, but I just take a deep breath and try to focus. Do you get bats in your tummy too?
Zapchat replies: U18153156 - Well met Mildred! My greatest achievement is passing all my exams and getting music scholarships for my schools! Also, I won the Head Girl competition at my school so best of luck to you (you can do this)! I LOVE the Worst Witch, it's amazing! Have you done anything that has made you proud? Mildred Hubble: Wow! It sounds like you stumbled on your very own Wishing Star! Do you have any advice for me if I do get Head Girl? I’m worried I might get it wrong and it’s a lot of pressure. I just want to do a good job. Maybe I should just focus on getting the Head Girl role first!
Zapchat replies: ReinRules - Well met Mildred! My greatest achievement was when I got 105/110 on my maths sats paper. I really think you can be head girl even if you need to start again. Mildred Hubble: Well met, ReinRules. What a brilliant achievement, you should be very proud of yourself. I don’t think even Ethel could get a score like that, you must love Maths! Thanks, I’m really nervous but I do love Cackle’s. I can do this!
Zapchat replies: sparkling shining dancer - Well Met Mildred, My greatest achievement was probably when I got my first distinction in my dance exam. I was so proud! Mildred Hubble: Well met sparkling shining dancer. A distinction sounds wonderful! We don’t have distinctions at Cackle’s, but they must be special! Miss Cackle told me ‘better luck next time’, so I didn’t feel so bad. I know that I’ll do much better in the next challenge. Who knows, I might even get a distinction, just like you!
