ZAPCHAT: Bad Hair Day

I’ve always wanted really long hair - like a proper witch in all the witch magazines!

Figure caption,

Ethel told me that all the witches who have ever been successful in the whole of history, have had long hair. Mine never seems to grow. So what can I do?

Figure caption,

After hearing about Mildred’s hair growth potion when her hair took over the school, I’ve got an idea...

Figure caption,

Maybe I could find some bat drool...

Figure caption,

I’m in trouble. Miss Hardbroom said she’s not going to reverse the spell for a whole week while I think about my actions. A WEEK WITH GREEN RATS' TAILS HAIR!! This means I’ll have to miss the flying competition as the Grand Wizard will be there. Rubbish :(

Zapchat replies: LilacMysticGymnast: Well met, Sybil! I have grown to like my jokey personality. I can have a laugh at the right time and be serious when I need to! Official Sybil Hallow: Well met, LilacMysticGymnast. I think I could use some of your confidence. Sometimes I think I am too serious and worry too much, but then Bea and Clarice will make me smile and I remember it’s all about balance.
Zapchat replies: HallowSistersFan: You might not have long hair but you have the gift of having a close relationship with Esmerelda and Ethel, something magic can't give you and something some witches will never experience, always be grateful for that! Official Sybil Hallow: Well met, HallowSistersFan. It’s true, Ethel and Esme always used to look out for me when I was little, but Esme isn’t at Cackle’s anymore and Ethel can be really mean sometimes. I suppose it’s Ethel’s way of encouraging me to be a better witch, but I just wish she’d be a bit nicer!
Zapchat replies: Book reader dancer: I used to hate how everyone ignored or made fun of me for reading all the time and putting lots of effort into my homework, now I'm top of quite a few classes and I've got into reading even more! Official Sybil Hallow: Well met, Book reader dancer. You sound a lot like Clarice, she always has her head in a book and she learns such wonderful things! Although, last year she did set my room on fire with a rogue spell… Maybe I should read more and study reversing spells in case she tries more experiments?
Zapchat replies: U17449450: I have grown to love my short hair. I was scared to have it cut because I loved it but I found out that this style is better. It takes nerve to change something like that, Sybil, that’s brave of you to try. Official Sybil Hallow: Thank you – and same to you – I admire your bravery and that it helped you make a new discovery about yourself! I think if I tried to shorten my hair, I’d probably turn it purple… or change it into spiders! But I’m happy just the way I am for now!
Zapchat replies: Lilacchocolatekitten: What I've grown to love about myself is the fact that I'm quite funny and, even though not many people in my class get my jokes, my closest friends get them and I enjoy joking around with them even though I'm uncool. I’m happy to be uncool because I like my life and my best friends are like me and don't mind my uncoolness. Official Sybil Hallow: Well met, Lilacchocolatekitten. I’m definitely uncool and I agree, I don’t think it’s a bad thing. Ethel picks on Mildred for not being a ‘proper’ witch, but she’s always having amazing adventures and she’s not scared of anything. I think being brave and kind is better than being cool.
Zapchat replies: CuteBlackCat: Hi Sybil! I've grown to love my long legs. I used to hate how I was taller than everyone else and I looked awkward next to my friends but now I know I don't and I have height advantages and I can run faster than everyone else. Official Sybil Hallow: Well met, CuteBlackCat. I’ve always been short and I would love long legs! I’d be able to reach the potions on the back shelf in Miss Hardbroom’s room, and I’d have a better lift off on my broom. Oh! I’d even be able to jump higher in the Fly High!
Zapchat replies: Bluedancingdog: Well met Sybil! I’ve grown to love my whole personality. Some people might not like it but it’s special and unique and it’s mine. Always be yourself, never let anyone else tell you who you’re meant to be. Official Sybil Hallow: Well met, Bluedancingdog. Exactly! There’s only one of you and you should never compare yourself with others. Especially if your sisters are academic superstars… Oh dear.
Zapchat replies: Chillout54321: Well met Sybil. My glasses, because the first time I got them I was so embarrassed but now I really don't mind at all. Official Sybil Hallow: Well met, Chillout54321. Maud told me she felt the same when she first got her glasses, but she loves them now. Even though she could probably find a spell to help her eyesight, she says she prefers wearing her glasses proudly.
