Tilly's 2017 Blog - All Posts
I'm so excited for you to catch up on the latest news from LA - here's where you can check out updates on my blog every week and follow my favourite recipes. I can't wait for you to try them!

It's time for the Ramsay Games!
Yes - it's the best time of the year! The Ramsay Games - boys and girls are going head to head. Bring it on Jack!
It's the final showdown!
Recipe of the Week
I'm going to make a load of scrummy food for the day that also ties in with the games - delicious chicken wings (with an extra spicy surprise one in the mix - so hot it'll blow steam from your ears!), corn on the cob covered in loads of awesome toppings...
...and finally my medal biscuits for the worthy winners! And I think we all know who they are. You can find the recipe for them here.
Remember – those grown ups like you to tell them if you’re cooking with hot or sharp things!

Come on girls, these might as well have our names written on them.
This is going to be such an awesome day, I can't wait to get started.
While I'm baking in the kitchen, the bunch are preparing all the different games in the garden, though I think some of us are getting a little distracted!
Jack - you numpty...

Cheering the girls is just as much fun as taking part!
Next is the corn on the cob eating contest and the water balloon throwing contest, and there was definitely, totally, 100% NO CHEATING... we promise, mum.
We ate them all... honest!

Ooh, that was really close...
I'm not going to ruin the fun and tell you which team won in case you haven't seen the episode yet! But does anyone want to take a guess at what Jack is up to here?
Let me know what you think my crazy brother is doing in the comments (no spoilers)!
That boy loves swimming pools way too much...
Tilly Ramsay - the real life emoji
This day has had so many silly moments that got me pulling a few funny faces... the production team have made a little compilation for you ;)
Better hope the wind doesn't change!
Can anyone believe how crazy my dad was to cook fish on his car engine last week? Still can't believe it worked! Thanks again for all your lovely comments, here are some replies and make sure to keep them coming!
Redfootballlover08 - haha, thank you so much! I love food too!!
CookieChunk - so lovely that you watch every morning, have you tried any recipes yet? If you do remember to send me a pic!
mollyeabha - really glad to hear how much you love cooking, it's such a fun thing to do and there's so much to learn. Maybe one day I'll be following you too if you really love it.
Chef of the Week
This week's chef of the week is Abigail - she made this incredible lasagne with homemade coleslaw, both dishes look super tasty! Well done!

The Ramsay Fishing Trip
Dad says he's taking us out on a surprise trip and won't tell us what it is - I'm super excited! Time for a Ramsay sing-a-long!
We're going fishing! I'm so excited - but I don't think mum and Holly are that impressed...
Go on mum, give him a high five!
Dad gets into the competitive spirit early with Jackson's dad, Andy. It's team USA vs UK - the battle is on!

Last one to get a fish is a rotten egg!
Unfortunately we aren't particularly lucky, fishing is harder than I thought it would be! And to be honest, dad isn't much help...
You got a bit of cabin fever there, dad?
With no fish caught and our stomachs rumbling, we decided to head back to shore. Dad has managed to 'find' a fish, but disaster! We totally forgot to bring the charcoal for the barbecue!
Dad has a crazy idea to cook the fish... I think he's finally lost it!
He actually wants to turn our barbecue into a CAR-becue... He's driving me round the bend!
Recipe of the Week
While dad is off pretending to 'cook' the fish (we all know he's really gone to the shops to buy another one...), I get to work on making our lovely dessert. At least we'll have this to eat if it all goes wrong!
Check out my super colourful, delicious, simple and healthy dessert - watermelon pizza! You can check out the recipe here.
Remember to ask an adult for help when you're handling anything hot, sharp or heavy in the kitchen!

'Water' you gonna put on yours? (Haha!)
Finally Dad returns with the fish, it's the moment of truth!
I can't believe it!
Lots of food lovers commenting this week which is great to see! All your comments are so lovely, thanks for reading the blog and watching the show.
unicornduck - I'm so glad that you and your mum watch the show together! Maybe you two can make a recipe together one day? Would love to see a pic of it if you do!
PenguinRandomForest - thank you so much, it's really great to hear how much you enjoy it!
Princess Sparkle - you can comment as many times as you like! Thanks for coming back to read the blog.
Make sure to check out the gallery if you need some inspiration when you send me pics!
Chef of the Week
My chef of the week this week goes to Phoebe and her amazing cheesy beef enchiladas. They look incredible Phoebe and I love your apron!

They look cheese-tastic!
The Ramsay Lip Sync Challenge
We've gone pop crazy in the Ramsay household because Meg's off to see one of her favourite singers ever - Britney Spears!

We're going to get ready to celebrate everything music by making our very own music videos! I've sent Meg, Holly and Byrom off to get some proper lessons on how to be music video stars!

Looking good guys...kinda!
Recipe of the Week
Meanwhile, I get busy doing what I love best - cooking! I've got some great ideas for pop themed food - I've got musical instruments made out of carrots (yep...carrots!), cake 'pops' and finally my irresistible popcorn and shrimp chicken! It's so light and delicious, and totally cool.
You can find the recipe here.

Once you pop...
I love making this recipe! What I don't love is mum singing at the top of her voice in my ear while I'm making it... Blender, ON!

Make it stooooooooop!
Snacks done! Now to put together my amazing music video. Me and mum have got some incredible dance moves...
What do you think Meg?
I think she likes it!
Yay! It's time to watch the videos! But maybe my dancing wasn't as cool as I thought it was...
Ugh, I don't think my embarrass-o-meter can get much higher...
Chef of the Week
This week's Chef of the Week goes to Charley and these lovely tortilla cups! Well done Charley, they look tortil-ly amazing!

A very special anniversary
It's an important day for mum and dad - it's their twentieth wedding anniversary! How old are they?!

Mum and dad looking amazing on their wedding day.
We want to throw them the most amazing party to celebrate, so we've put our heads together to plan a special surprise!

Huddle up Jack - we've got to get planning!
We're going to create a Mexican themed celebration, it's going to be super colourful and exciting! Megan, Holly and Jack went to the Mariachi Plaza to do some research.

Come on, guys! You're meant to be finding a mariachi singer not posing for photographs!
Recipe of the Week
Meanwhile, I get cracking making loads of food for the party! For the main course I'm going to be making delicious beef enchiladas - they're mum and dad's favourite Mexican food.
You can find the recipe for them here.
Remember! Always ask an adult for help when using hot, sharp or heavy objects in the kitchen.

And this is my 'pièce de résistance'! I can't wait to surprise mum and dad with this at the party, if I can just manage to hide it from them until then!
It'll have the parents in 'tiers' - get it?
Uh-oh - here comes mum!
Nothing to see here!
Argh, dad, get out of my kitchen!
He's so annoying!
The Tilly "no-handshake" - ultimate distraction technique! Hah!

Happy Anniversary from your greatest creation - the Ramsay Bunch!
I can't wait for you guys to see this episode - it's so amazing, we definitely gave the parents a big surprise!
GreenCarrotPenguins - sounds like your family really loved that cake, maybe this will inspire you to make another one? They really do look amazing!
XxSparkleCupcakeUnicornxX - thank you so much for your lovely comments, who knows - maybe my dad will be just like me when I'm older! ;)
SapphirePearlyKitten - I'm so glad you keep trying my recipes, cooking always tastes better after lots of practice so don't give up! Maybe next time you try one you can send me a picture?
Make sure to check out the gallery if you need some inspiration!
Chef of the Week
This week's Chef of the Week goes to Ada and her amazing doggy cake! It looks so cute - did you give it a name?

Ramsay Grand Prix
This week we're heading to a go kart racing track for our very own Ramsay Grand Prix!
It's time for the Ramsay Wacky Waces... I mean Races!!
Recipe of the Week
In honour of our day of racing, I've decided to make a load of racing themed snacks! Well, wheel themed snacks... I'm making a round sausage wheel, delicious, chocolatey rocky road wheels and finally some tasty round tortilla cups! They look 'wheely' good - don't you think?
You can grab the Tortilla Cup recipe here!

I 'wheely' hope you like them! OK, I'll stop now...
Before we head to the track, I help out Holly and Megan with making the Ramsay trophy. Looking good guys!

I don't know if Megan and Holly think I'm actually helping...
We're at the track and the trophy's finished - it looks amazing. I wonder who's name will be on it at the end though? I hope it's me!
No way am I going to let dad win this one!
While the guys do their first laps of the track, I hand out my snacks in record time at the pit stop.

Sausage wheel anyone?
Now it's my turn to do a lap! Dad's serving me but he can't resist pretending like we're at one of his restaurants...

No I don't want to see the à la 'go kart' menu, how many times do I have to tell you?
Finally it's time to get going! My lap around the track was the fastest so I get to line up first, yay! But what's this...
Dad! You big cheat!
What am I going to do with him?
Some lovely comments from you guys this week as usual!
LuckyPaws - sorry to hear that all my recipes are making you so hungry! Why don't you try one of them and let me know how it goes?
magical unicorn girl - that's a great idea to get your mum messaging the kennels to see what your doggies are up to, hopefully they won't be getting up to too much mischief! :D Great to hear that your dad has been giving your recipes 10/10! Maybe your dad can tell my dad to give me more 10/10s as well?
SparklyRainbowCake - thank you!! Maybe I need to make a cake one day that's like your username?? Watch this space...
Chef of the Week
This week's Chef of the Week goes to Alfie and his incredible Rocky Road Tyres! Did you know I was making them on the show this week Alfie? I'm glad you thought they were delicious, they certainly look Til-icious to me!

Every dog has their day
We're having so much fun in LA, but I'm sad to be away from Rumpole and Bruno for so long. We wanted to spend a day celebrating everyone's favourite four-legged friend!!

I think Rumpole misses us too!
People LOVE their dogs here! Megan and Holly wanted to spend the day finding out what it's like being a dog in LA.
They're off to meet Manny, a dog with over 1 million followers on social media!

Holly gets a cuddle with Manny!
Next they go to see an amazing dog hotel where the dogs are treated just like celebrities. These dogs get all kinds of special treatment from massages to pedicures!

Megan helps give one of the dogs a massage.
All these dogs are so adorable... I hope we don't make Rumpole and Bruno jealous!
While Megan and Holly are doing their doggy research, I'm doing some dog research of my own - hot dogs that is!
I go to one of LA's most popular hot dog stands to meet Julio who tells me all about some of the amazing hot dogs he likes to make.

I think I will need to taste all of these hot dogs! For research of course...
All this research has made me hungry, so I've decided to make some hot dogs of my very own. But these are no ordinary hot dogs, these are Veggie Dogs and they taste so incredibly good! You can grab the recipe here.

And for dessert I've made a dog shaped cake! I think it looks like Bruno but I don't think mum's convinced...

If only mum would recognise greatness when she sees it!
Chef of the Week
This week's Chef of the Week goes to Erin - those churros look fantastic! I'm so glad you enjoyed making them.

My toughest challenge ever
I'm getting ready to take on the hardest thing I've ever done! I'm going to try and swim one of LA's most iconic sporting events - the pier to pier swimming race!
We're going to be swimming nearly two and a half miles in the cold Pacific Ocean!

But all of this wouldn't be fun without a Ramsay competition! Jack will also be taking part in the race - but there's no way he can beat me.

We're going to be heading into the water soon, and I'm feeling a little nervous. Dad says that if I see any sharks I should poke them in the eye!!!
I don't think Dad's pep talk is helping...
The main thing that's keeping me going is the thought of my delicious Baked (Not Fried) Southern Chicken that I'm going to make today. This is an extra special recipe as I'm using my very own super secret coating on the chicken - for your eyes only!

Here I go... See you on the other side!
Thank you for all your comments this - I'm so pleased you all like the recipes. unicornsparkle786 - really glad you liked the energy ball recipe, you can actually find the recipe here if you want to make them. They're super easy to make and so delicious!
ScarletDizzyRobot - a popping candy cake sounds so so cool! What an amazing idea :)
animalloverm123456 - you should definitely give my recipes a go. They're so easy and so much fun to make. You can check out all the recipes from this summer so far on my CBBC homepage. Make sure to send us a pic once you've tried a recipe out!

Chef of the Week
This week's Chef of the Week goes to Owen who made these delicious looking meatball subs. Well done, Owen - they look sub-lime (geddit?).

Jack's back!
It's felt like the longest time ever, but Jack is finally coming home from his water polo tour!

My Recipe of the Week
To celebrate I'm going to make him a lunch with all his favourite food! I'm making him a super meaty lasagne with healthy, green fries on the side. Yum!!!
You can grab the recipe for my homemade green fries here.

I can't wait for Jack to try my food, that is if I can stop my dad eating everything before it actually gets to the table!

Caught red handed!
For dessert I'm making ice cream sandwiches, but this is no ordinary sandwich - the bread is actually pastry! Maybe I'll just try one bite to make sure they're alright...
That's a ten out of ten on the tasty scale!
Waiting for Jack to return and I'm famished. Megan's so hungry I think she's trying to eat me!
Ewwww... sisters, am I right?
Woohoo! He's finally home - now we can go out on the water to play some canoe water polo! Only thing is, Jack can't even stay upright!
After a crazy match, everyone deserves a treat - bring out the ice cream sandwiches!

Uhh... they might have melted a little! Whoops!
Thanks everyone for your messages. I love making the show and I'm glad you love watching it! Please keep sending me pics of your makes - you can check out the gallery for a bit of inspiration.
Thank you so much to WoodwindHedgehogUnicorn - you're absolutely right, macarons and macaroons are two totally different things! If only somebody would tell Megan... Hope you're glad to see that Jack is back in Ramsay house!
SapphirePearlyKitten - I'm so glad you like the ice lollies, I think they look delicious as well and I love the pink colour. You can grab the recipe here.

Chef of the Week
This week's chef is Erin who made my Big and Bold burgers. Thank you so much for sending your picture in Erin, these look incredible. You've done a great job.

A totally calm, amazingly zen day!
My mum is a green goddess, so I’ve decided to make loads of healthy food for her today, but even the healthiest people need a treat. Whether they’re macarons or macaroons- who cares! Get my tasty macaron recipe here.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Magnificent Meg!
My Recipe of the Week
My mum is a green goddess, so I’ve decided to make loads of healthy food for her today, but even the healthiest people need a treat. Whether they’re macarons or macaroons- who cares! Get my tasty macaron recipe here.

I'm trying my best to concentrate on making my macarons for mum but Megan keeps distracting me!
Here’s how I clean the kitchen floor in my house – The M-oover!
Time for today’s fun activity! We’re taking mum to do paddle board yoga. Hmmm, this looks like it might be tricky...

On second thoughts... this isn't so bad after all!
I spoke too soon - Tilly down!

Those meatballs are a slam dunk!
Basketball fun on Venice Beach
We’re having a summer to remember in super sporty LA. The gang and I are having a competition to see which Ramsay can shoot the most hoops!

Mum and I get creative practising in the kitchen!
A pot works for a hoop, right?
My Recipe of the Week
Basketball wouldn’t be the same without some tasty court side snacks. Try out my recipe for FroYo Lollipops! So tasty and perfect when the sun’s out.

While I’m cooking up a storm in the kitchen, Megan and Holly head to the basketball court to practise some amazing moves – go Megan!
Guys! What are you doing?! Let me know what you think they're doing in the comments!
I’ve brought my delicious treats over for the gang, just in time before my first match – Me, Byrom and Justin against Megan, Chris and Kody!

She shoots, she scores!

We're back!
It's great to be back, I'm so ready for another awesome summer in LA...

Jack is heading off on a water polo tour – we’re all going to miss him so much… But I might miss Rumpole and Bruno even more! They’re going to stay in the kennels while we're away.
Giant burger alert!
I’m going to make them the most amazing send off meal to make them feel really special, oh and I might make something for Jack too!
(Double!) Recipe of the Week
You can check out not one, but TWO of my recipes this week – here’s something I made specially for Jack: Vitamin Power Balls!

And as a treat for Bruno and Rumpole, I’ve made some special biscuits just for them (hands off dad!!!) - you can find the recipe here.

#DogSelfie!

We had a competition to see who could take the best selfies with the dogs – it was so much harder than we thought it would be!
Who do you think won?

It’s so sad to say goodbye to Jack – but I’m sure he won’t miss being embarrassed by dad!
