Brody is trying to trick me! But if I tell, who will believe me over her?

When you’re at the bottom rung of the ladder it’s hard to speak up – and even harder to be heard. That’s why Jack’s in all this trouble. He’s just a garden boy so nobody will believe anything he says – and it’s not fair. How can I make anyone believe that he would never steal from Calendar Hall? And he didn’t take stuck-up Robert’s wallet but still Jack’s locked away like a thief.

It makes me angry! Especially because Brody’s always the respectable housekeeper – when really, she’s the slyest of all. Last night, I lay in bed wondering what I could do to make things right for Jack? But unless I want to make a fuss and get into trouble too I’m not sure there’s anything I can do.

I want to keep my job but I need to make someone believe me - or believe in Jack?
