Embarrassing school play moments everyone has

It's that time of year where everyone gets dressed up in silly outfits, gets up on the school stage and tries desperately not to do the most embarrassing thing ever. Here are some of the most embarrassing school play moments that almost everyone has...

If your school play is a nativity scene, the worst thing you can do is drop the doll and let it roll into the crowd. There's just no way to come back from that without every person in the room cracking up.

This falls into the same category as forgetting the words to a song after the first verse, and just opening and closing your mouth as you pretend to sing. You know the words but they are definitely not making it out of your mouth with all those people staring at you!

There is always at least one grown-up that makes their way to the front with a clunky, ancient camera, desperately trying to get the perfect shot and putting everyone off their lines. Yikes.

These can range from forgetting to bring your costume in and having to do the whole play in your school uniform (looking like the least-convincing sheep around), to part of your costume getting snagged and causing disaster - we're looking at you, tinsel halos.

The lights are bright. The room is almost silent. There are 100 sets of eyes staring at you.

How are you meant to not laugh? You know you're supposed to be quiet but when you've only got a couple of lines (especially if you're playing the sheep... thanks Miss!) your mind is definitely going to wander to that funny thing that happened in PE last week, and you're definitely going to snort-laugh outloud. Can't be helped.
