Bristol has been beaten into second place in the race from Okinawa to Hong Kong but retains her overall lead in the race as it reaches its halfway point.

The Jersey Clipper claimed its second victory of the race at 0110 local time on Tuesday 27 March as she arrived at the Waglan Lighthouse.

Bristol was just 25 minutes behind the winners, with Liverpool coming in third half an hour after the West Country yacht.

A 16-day visit to Hong Kong now ensues before the fleet departs on 12th April 2001 on the next leg which will include competing in the prestigious San Fernando Race to the Philippines.
