The humble comma is the latest battleground in a war which is ostensibly about punctuation but which I believe is actually about attitudes towards change in general.

Doubting Thomas’s apostrophe? Teacher knows best
For something so very small, the apostrophe certainly punches above its weight in terms of dividing opinion. I found no consensus on apostrophes and common usage is inconclusive.
