Wren's
Nest is internationally know as a geology site. The most famous
fossil found there is the "The Dudley Bug". The reserve
is not only geologically very important but is also home to over
200 species of wild flowers.

Wren's
Nest is one of the few places in the West midlands where you will
find locally rare plants, such as Small Scabious, Milkwart and Quaking
Grass.
The
presence of three distinct woodland layers (tree layer, shrub layer
and ground layer) provides the ideal habitats for birds and small
mammals. If your lucky you may spot a fox or one of the smaller
mammals such wood mice or Bank Voles.
Visting
the reserve is a year round outdoor activity. Appreciate the many
species of wildlife found there during Winter, Autumn, Spring and
Summer.
