Miranda Burns gives her three tips for a chilled weekend.
Build a den
- Use tables or chairs and a sheet to create a cool space to hang out
- Cosy it up with cushions and fairy lights
- Bring all your fave things in and have a camping experience without the rain or mud
- Ask nicely and your grown-ups might let you keep it to study in on Monday!
Stay at home in fancy dress
- Set a theme for your household
- Your costume could be a historical figure, a pop idol, an animal - as long as it relates to the theme
- In lockdown there's no popping to the shops - you're going to have to [get creative] around the house
- Remember as Miranda says: it doesn't have to look amazing as long as it's fun
- You could expand your fancy dress party to other households over video chat, and even host it in your cool new den!
Watch something new
- Finding something new to watch could be a good way of relaxing if you don't want to do a big activity
- Miranda recommends the virtual music concert One World Together At Home, because even if you're not a fan of singing, you can see music artist in their natural habitat
- Ask your family and friends for recommendations and you might just find a new genre of film or telly you might not have watched otherwise.
