Kike's story
Kike was discovered up at Rhino Ridge, and was mother to three small cubs. This was her fourth litter and she hadn't yet succeeded in raising a single cub successfully before. Cheetahs are the smallest and most vulnerable of Africa's big cats and few make it to adulthood. Threats come from all quarters and as we watched Kike and her cubs meeting challenges from lions and even another female cheetah, each day that passed with the cubs unhurt seemed a miracle.
