When Honey and the cubs reappeared, all seemed well. But the following day fortune had swung again and we discovered Honey at the foot of a tree with only one of her cubs. Another was soon spotted in the tree's branches. Something had caused them to panic badly. The third cub was located not long after high up another tree and the cause of the panic emerged. Lions had sent the family into flight but cheetahs aren't proficient tree climbers and the cubs' descent was equally fraught.
