Taibhithe de Dmitry Shostakovich ag BBC National Orchestra of Wales

Fifty years after his death we celebrate the mastery of Shostakovich in a concert featuring his Violin Concerto and the mighty Seventh Symphony under the baton of our much-loved Principal Conductor, Ryan Bancroft.

In a second nod to Shostakovich in the 50th anniversary year of his death BBC NOW’s Guest Principal Conductor Jaime Martin presents a programme including his Theme and Variations and Second Piano Concerto.
