India avalanche
The Indian army says nearly thirty soldiers are missing after an avalanche struck a military camp in the Himalayas in the eastern state of Sikkim near the border with China. Twenty soldiers were rescued from the wreckage of the camp, at Thangu, which stands at more than sixteen-thousand feet. Rescue operations have been hampered by bad weather and widespread landslides.
