Israeli army raid Rafah
The Israeli army has carried out an early morning raid on the Palestinian town of Rafah in the south of the Gaza strip.

Hospital sources say one Palestinian man was killed, and five more were injured, as tanks and armoured bulldozers moved into the town.

Israel has frequently stormed Rafah, close to the Egyptian border, in what it says are operations to stop weapons being smuggled in.

On Saturday the Israeli army shot dead two Palestinian men in separate incidents in the West Bank and Gaza.
