A rare white blackbird has become a regular visitor to a Jersey churchyard.
The church superintendent at St Ouen, John Surcouf, has spotted the bird coming and going.
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds describes white blackbirds as having white feathers and pink legs, bill and eyes.
It says they are normally less robust than the other birds, with poorer sight and hearing. They do not live very long and are only rarely seen.
The society's website also says that being so conspicuous, they are at risk from predators and shunned by other birds, so it is harder to find a mate.
