Regatta secures sponsorship deal
Organisers of Jersey's oldest regatta hope a new sponsorship deal will raise awareness about the event.

The Gorey Regatta Association has secured a three-year deal with Jersey Post. The deal will also help the event's 150th anniversary in 2007.

Each summer people take to the water in the Royal Bay of Grouville in all types of craft, including dinghies, racing yachts, family cruisers and catamarans.

Organisers hope to attract sailors from the Channel Islands, the UK and France.

The 2006 Gorey Regatta takes place on 3 and 4 June.
