Watchdog welcomes milk price cut
Jersey Consumer Council has welcomed a move by a local supermarket to reduce the cost of milk in the island.

Safeway cut the price of a litre by 7p to 89p on Friday morning.

Deputy Alan Breckon from the Consumer Council says the move is good news for shoppers, and shops should work to the benefit of the customer.

Safeway rival the Channel Island Co-Op said its sales had not been affected by the price reduction and the move would make little difference.
