Plans for child centre unveiled
Jersey's Education Committee wants to set up a children's centre to provide free childcare and early education to vulnerable children under five.

The committee's report on the island's Strategy for Early Education and Care says it hoped to set up such a centre within three years.

The centre would be used as a base for the island parenting team, the Jersey Childcare Trust and Youth Action Team.

It would also be used in outreach work, family support and adult education.
