Deputy backs job law change calls
A Jersey deputy has said he will back calls for the island's employment law to be revised.

Deputy Geoff Southern's declaration comes after 640 people signed a petition calling for it to be changed.

Deputy Southern added he did not believe that it met international standards and failed to give basic rights for employees.

Employment and Social Security Minister Paul Routier said he wanted to do full justice to points made in the petition.

Senator Routier said he would analyse the petition further.
