£154m owed in island income tax
Jersey's income tax authorities are still owed more than £154m with only three days to go before the deadline for payments to be submitted passes.

The amount means that about one third of the island's income tax total is still outstanding.

Island Comptroller of Income Taxes Malcolm Campbell said his department expected to collect a lot of money before the Friday deadline.

But he warned that anyone who did not pay by then faced a 10% surcharge.
