Cameras will film candidates' speeches
Television cameras are to be allowed into Jersey's States Chamber to film the selection of the island's new chief minister in December.

The BBC and Channel Television have both asked for permission.

No objections were made and cameras will film the candidates' speeches and the subsequent voting.

Speaking to the House, the Bailiff added it was important protocols for televising proceedings were in place to keep the dignity of the assembly.
