Office for job and home licences
Employment and housing licences for migrant workers in Jersey are to be handled in future by just one office.

The new Population Office will also compile a complete register of how many people there are on the island.

Jersey-born accountant Paul Bradbury has been appointed as its director and will set up the population register.

Politicians hope as a result businesses will be able to plan for the future with more confidence by using some of the data the office compiles.
