Road humps proposed near school
Road humps could be put in place in a residential area of Jersey in a bid to stop drivers speeding close to a primary school.

The St Helier Roads Committee is discussing traffic calming measures near Grands Vaux School in St Saviour.

There have been six accidents on Grands Vaux in St Saviour in the past five years, three have involved pedestrians.

Municipal Services recommends road humps but wants to present plans to residents in the area first.

Other ideas include chicanes, a priority footpath for pedestrians and better policing.
