Members set for 2.5% pay increase
Politicians in Jersey look set to get a 2.5% pay rise for the next three years under plans before the States.

Unless a politician lodges a proposition by the end of Thursday's deadline it means that from next year members will get just over £37,500.

The pay review body recommends the rate of wages and expenses for politicians in Jersey and is proposing no increase in the current expenses of £3,650.

It also says members should be paid for a month after they leave office.
