House prices 'remaining stable'
The average price of property sold in Jersey in the last quarter was £334,000, according to new statistics.

The States Statistics Unit's House Price Index said the average price of property remained stable during the second quarter of 2005.

But it added that the cost of a two-bedroom house has risen to £284,000, the highest on record for nearly two years.

The average price of a one-bedroom flat is now £161,000.

The States House Price Index measures the combined average price of one and two-bedroom flats; plus two, three and four-bedroomed houses.
