The dispute over refuse collection shifts has now been resolved

A strike by manual workers in the Jersey parish of St Helier has been described as unacceptable.
Constable Simon Crowcroft says he will be taking steps to prevent a repeat of disruption cause by the action.
Last month bins were left overflowing with rubbish following a two-day strike by manual workers.
Constable Crowcroft claims the strike was unconstitutional. The Transport and General Workers Union has declined to comment on his claims.
Manual workers were protesting at plans to change one of the shifts so that bigger bins would be emptied in town at the end of the day.
About 100 refuse collectors, road sweepers, gardeners and masons were involved in the strike.
The dispute has been resolved, but the Constable says the parish will be quicker and more effective in responding to strikes in future.
