Drink drivers face ban for a year
Drivers in Jersey are being warned they will be banned for at least a year if they are caught drink driving over the festive period.

Police in Jersey think the warnings are already working - the number of arrests have been lower in December than in any other month.

But they say some drivers still take the risk.

Last Christmas, 31 people were arrested on suspicion of driving whilst over the limit, a rise on 2002.

The States has produced 100,000 beer mats for pubs and clubs around the island warning of the dangers.
